The 52nd Street Project, a not-for-profit educational program that works with youth in the Hells Kitchen neighborhood, was given the financial backing to lease and renovate a large 15,000 square foot space over two floors of the recently completed Clinton Green Towers. They turned to Yorke to provide pre-construction and construction management services through a tight 13 month construction schedule.
Completed in the spring of 2010, the fit-out of this space included:
- Creation of a new 140-seat theater with collapsible seating and educational spaces
- Supporting offices, kitchenette, and conference space
- A shared mechanical system for the fit-out space, as well as the entire cultural building within the Clinton Green Towers
